Before I start this very expensive and exciting new experience, I would like to know anything any professionals would recommend. I’m sure I will need to know how to read music…is this something I could possibly brush up on my own or would I need a teacher? I plan on taking private lessons but anything I can do before hand would be very helpful in reducing the cost and just stick to the actual learning of the violin itself. Also, what kind should I get? Plan on buying one off ebay to start off with. Thanks!
